Trump Threatens Iran with Fresh Strikes on Power Plants, Bridges

(MENAFN) U.S. President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Iran on Wednesday, declaring that Tehran has squandered its opportunity to negotiate and will now face escalating military consequences.

"Iran is all talk and no action," Trump posted on Truth Social. "They've taken too long to negotiate a deal that would have been great for them, now they will have to pay the price."

In a separate phone interview cited by media, Trump signaled he was weighing even more aggressive military action, including strikes on Iran's power plants and bridges.

"I may keep going," Trump said during the interview. "They had a chance to sign a deal and survive."

The president accused Tehran of deliberately stalling peace negotiations that have yielded little tangible progress, claiming Iran had been "tapping the U.S. along" throughout the diplomatic process.

The warnings came a day after the U.S. military struck approximately 20 targets inside Iran on Tuesday, a retaliatory operation launched following the downing of a U.S. Army helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz. According to a U.S. Central Command statement, the targets struck included Iranian air defenses, radar installations, and ground control stations.
