Turkish BIST 100 Index Closes Monday with Losses
The Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index opened the trading week at 11,340.42 points before shedding 143.47 points by the closing bell compared to Friday's final figure.
Throughout the session, the index reached its peak at 11,324.76 points before dropping to a daily floor of 11,150.90 points.
The BIST 100's total market capitalization stood at approximately 10.5 trillion Turkish liras ($246.2 billion), while daily transactions reached 104 billion liras ($2.42 billion).
Market breadth heavily favored decliners, with 82 constituents posting losses against just 17 advancing stocks relative to the prior session's close.
As of 6:30 pm local time (1630GMT), bullion prices reached $4,324.60 per ounce. Brent crude oil traded at $61.50 per barrel during the same timeframe.
